I realized ten years ago that serving only yourself is not a fulfilling path.

When it comes to personal trials and tribulations, I'd like for you to hear my story.

Ten years ago I was lost, and I was lucky to find my way again. It was the most difficult time of my life. I experienced a lot of bumps and bruises. My problems were alcohol, drugs, and getting caught up in bad decisions from that, including unfortunately even a DUI and drug possession. My struggles were self-inflicted, and I take full responsibility for my mistakes. I learned a lot of things the hard way, and I stand before you today a humbled, honest, and wiser person. I am thankful for my family who loves me and helped me when I needed them. Since then, I have started over. When look at my record, you'll see the record of a man who given back to his community and served with a cause and a purpose.

Today many people are struggling, and it is not their choice. They are waiting for local governments to bring solutions instead of arguments. I am a workingman, and I work hard for my family and my community. I know what is like to pay a debt and to hope for something better out of life. I know that if you work hard every day and set goals, that we accomplish great things together little bit by little bit.

I own up to my past mistakes and I have learned from them. I am extremely proud of the way I turned my life back in the right direction, and what I have done for our community since then. You see, I have put all my cards on the table, and what you see is what you get. You don't have to worry about anything I'm hiding because it's all out there. And what you get is a family man, with deep roots in Pinellas Park, and a man with a great sense of respect and care for the future of Pinellas Park.

I am a real candidate. I made mistakes years ago, and I paid for them. I have been honest about it, and I come to the voters of Pinellas Park as a real person invested in the future of our community. I have faith in the voters to hear my story, get to know me, and know the real man that Jerry Mullins is.
